Custom Gunite Pools

The neighborhoods that grew up around the space center have the deepest lots and the biggest oaks in the Bay Area. That is the best canvas we work on, and it needs a design that respects the root zones.

Backyard Amenities

Outdoor kitchens, covered patios, fire features and decking. On a shaded Clear Lake lot the patio gets used nine months a year, so it is worth building properly the first time.

Home Remodeling and Additions

Clear Lake is where most of our remodeling work sits. A original kitchen and a new pool are usually the same conversation, and it is cheaper to have it once.

Clear Lake is not one city, and that matters

More than anywhere else in the Bay Area, a Clear Lake project starts with figuring out who actually has jurisdiction over your street.

Four different permit offices

Clear Lake City was annexed by Houston in 1977, so most of it permits through the City of Houston. Nassau Bay, El Lago and Taylor Lake Village each run their own building department with their own rules, and a small eastern slice falls under Pasadena. Submitting to the wrong office is how a project loses a month.

Sixties and seventies housing stock

These homes were built for the Manned Spacecraft Center workforce and most are on their original drain lines and their second patio slab. We locate and camera the sewer line before excavation rather than finding it with a track hoe.

Trees are the constraint, not the lot

The oaks that make these yards worth having also set where the pool can go and where the equipment can sit. We lay the shell out around the root zones instead of trenching through them and losing the tree two summers later.

They handled all aspects of permitting and inspections in an efficient and timely manner.  There was a problem with one contractor using the wrong color for the deck coating and they had it corrected quickly with no issue.  The pool and decking turned out great.
